1 <br />1 <br />Yond4y, February 18,, 1929 <br />Regular meeting called to order at 4 p. m., all members <br />present. <br />Fire Department: <br />The resignation of Captain J. Scott of Truck 3 of the Fire <br />Department was presented and on motion of Tr. Reeder the resi_;nation <br />was accepted with sincere regret and approbation. The motion was <br />seconded by Dr. Johnston. Resignation effective February 19, 1929. <br />Captain Scott to go on pension after 25 years service. <br />1!'otion prevailed that following resolution be passed and <br />made a part of the minutes. Copy of said resolution to be sent to <br />family of Lieut. 1.7illiam Hieman of No. 10 station: <br />- Resolution <br />"MREAS: Almighty God in his Divine providence has <br />seen fit to remove from Civil Service William Heimann, member <br />of the South Bend Fire Department for the past 36 ,years. <br />BE IT THF,REFORE RESOLVED; That the Board of Public <br />Safety at its regular convened meeting of February 18th, 1929 <br />express their sincere condolence to the bereaved family. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER: that as a particular mark of <br />respect to the memory of the deceased, and in recognition <br />of his public service, this resolution be made a part of the <br />permanent record of the Board of Public Safety. <br />Signed: <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY. <br />By B.
