1 ... r. <br />The regular weekly meeting of the- Board of Public Safety was held in. <br />the Boards Office, <br />M:Qnda,y November 19th., 1928 <br />Meeting was called to order at 4:12 P.M. by President Engeldrum. <br />All members were present. <br />Motion prevailed to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the <br />last regular meeting. <br />FIRE DEPT. <br />Fire Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid. <br />Chief Knoblock reported that the new combination chemical truck, was <br />deivered according to specifications, tested and would be ready to put <br />into service November 21st. <br />Motion prevailed that the new chemical truck be accepted, placed into <br />service, bill for same be approved. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPT. <br />Electrical Dept. bills were approved a.nd ord. -.;red paid. <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly report of .Supt. Qualls for the <br />week ending November 18th. be accepted and ordered placed ors file. <br />DEPT. OF lirEIGHTS & MEASURES <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly report of City Sealer Burns for the <br />week ending Nov. 17th. be accepted and., ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPT. <br />Police Dept. bills were approved- and ordered paid. <br />IlLotion prevailed that the application of Anthony 11. Rzepka be accepted <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />Motion prevailed that N. Notre Dame Ave. at its intersection with <br />Cedar St. be desiginated as a preferential traffic street. <br />A petition was presented to the Board Signed by Mrs. Gertrude Rush, <br />Marie Vaughn and others requesting.that automatic traffic signals be <br />Ierrected along William St. at the intersections of Jefferson Blvd., <br />+hrashington Ave., Golf ax Ave., LaSalle Ave. and Lincoln Way West. <br />Traffic Signals without bells. <br />Motion prevailed that Chief Hatt, Asst. Uhief Kuespert, and Mr. <br />Engeldrum be appointed as a committee to investigate and report to <br />the Board as to the traffic conditions on i.Jillia.m St. <br />Motion prevailed that the bond of Officer Ca.simer _�u'r�ia.k na:meing <br />Casimer Kubiak, Paul Kochonowski, and Norman Adler as surety be <br />accepted. <br />Motion prevailed that a Z2foot, 15 minute waiting zone be established <br />on the East side of North William St.,North of Colfax Ave., and <br />running parallel with the_ilorningside Pharmacy Bldg. <br />i <br />Attest <br />Clerk tcard of Public Safety -Dr e s Yd"I 0 ar of Public Safety <br />
