The regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety ti7as held in the <br />2 <br />Boards office <br />Monday July 16th., 1928 <br />.All members were present <br />lkleeting was called to order at 4:05 P.T� by President Engeldrum <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting were approved <br />FIRE DEPT. <br />Fire Dept. bills were approved end ordered paid. <br />,lotion prevailed that the application of Bert F. Nowinski be accepted <br />and ordered pb-a,ced on file. <br />r , <br />Sealed bids oi� proposals for Chemical Fire Apparatus in accordance <br />i ^with'th.- notice published in the South Bend News Times and South Bend <br />T-ribune were opened and tabulated in the presence of the reper senatives <br />of the various concerns offering bids or proposals. <br />The names of the concerns offering bids or proposals with specificat- <br />ions were as fillows: <br />Richard R. Co. <br />Boyer Fire Apparatus Co. <br />Scherman Schaus Motor Co. <br />Motion prevailed that a. special meeting of the Board be called for <br />Friday July 20th.; the hour of the meeting to be arranged later for <br />the purpose of ana.lizing the bids, and awarding the contract for the <br />chemical,appara.tas. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPT. <br />Eleetrica.l dept. bills were approved. -nd ordered paid. <br />!Motion prevailed that the weekly report of Supt; walls for week ending <br />July 15th. be accepted and ordered pUced on file. <br />DEPT.
