The regular weekly meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held in <br />the Boards office <br />Monday July 2nd., 1928 <br />11eeting was called to, order at 4:00 P.11. <br />All members were present. <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. <br />FIRE DEPT. <br />Fire Dept. bills were approved and ordered aid. <br />Bids for coal in responce to the adds in th� news papers were rec� ed, <br />opened and tabulated. <br />Iulotion prevailed that a. special meeting be held at 1I;30 td AA ?jrd <br />Upon receiving requests for the Police And Firemens Band to play at <br />different funtions a motion prevailed that the Police and Firemens <br />band should not be allowed to furnish music for any ocea.sion except. <br />at affairs sponsored by the Police Dept., Fire Dept. and purely <br />civic funtions. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPT. <br />Electrical Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid. <br />uLotion prevailed that the weekly report of Supt. Qualls for the week <br />ending July lst. be accepted and order::d. placed on filik. <br />DEPT. OF WEIGHTS & I;LEA.SURES <br />City Sealer bills were approved and orderd paid. <br />Motion ptevailed-that the weekly report of City Sealer Burns for the <br />w.ek ending June 30th. be accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPT <br />Police Dept. bills were approved and orders. paid. <br />Motion prevailed that the resigination of Officer John W. Vernon be <br />accepted <.s of July 2nd.,'1928.. <br />The following resolutions were passed and c3�/ek was.instructed to send <br />a copy of the resolutions to the family of former President of the <br />Board of Public Safety 1 r.
