The Secretary brought up the question of police bonds for year and recommended that the opportunity of placing the bonds policemen be given to James Woodcock to cover all bonds for the year. The Board authorized this to be done. 249 ,-, next of ensuing The matter of financial obligations of several of the Officers on the force was brought to the attention of the Board and it was decided to have the following Officers appear before the Board next Monday, December 16th: Elmer Coil, William Ortman and Vernon Ellis. . A Petition was presented to the Board by the Deutscher Fortbildungs- Verein signed by its Officers and Trustee, requesting the Board to enforce non-parking on the south side of Indiana Avenue from Kemble Avenue to Franklin Street. After discussing the matter, the Board decided to call a meeting of all interested on Monday morning, December 16th at 9:00 A. M. The Secretary was instructed to notify such interested persons. Special police commission was issued to Sears Roebuck & Company in favor of John Leader while employed at that store. This commissio�i is accompanied by a 01,000.00 bond. Commission was approved by the Board. Special police commission was issued to Rocco Simeri of 509 Crescent Avenue, which was accompanied by a X1,000-00 surety bond. Chairman SPECIAL MEETING December 14, 1935 Special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on December 14, 1935 at 10:30 A. M. All members were present. It was regularly moved by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Woodward and regularly carried that a compromise settlement in the case of Frank Roytek be accepted and that Mr. Roytek be reinstated in the Electrical Department in the Signal Station as of February 1, 1935, with the understanding and stipulation agreed upon and approved by the Court that Frank Roytek is to receive the sum of $403.28 as compromise salary for the period above mentioned and that Mr. Roytek is to report to Mr. qualls, Superintendent, for assignment of duties on December°16, 1935. It was regularly moved by Mr. Woodward, seconded by Mr. Anderson and regularly carried that Mr. Richard J. Gillen, operator in the - Electrical Department and Signal Station, be transferred to the Police Department, subject t-to passing physical examination, assignment to duties by the Chief of Police and under probation for six month's period.
