REGULAR METING <br />Regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />1131 1935 at 8 :30 A. M. Miller <br />62.97 <br />Goodyear Service <br />11.95 <br />Earl Hollis, undertaker, appeared before the Board and made a proposition <br />to take care of all ambulance work that the city is called upon to <br />perform except the emergency calls, which are to be handled by the police <br />ambulance as before. he proposes to do this for a consideration of 4'1.00 <br />per year. Under this arrangement the police ambulance would be available <br />on all emergency calls and be relieved of all hospital and private calls. <br />The Board after considering the matter decided by motion, regularly <br />seconded and carried to give i'r. ilollis such a contract from April lst <br />to December 31st, 1935 and the -City Attorney wc�s instructed to draw.up <br />such a contract. <br />POLICE DEP _`,R�li hT,:T -Chief Lane present: <br />It was decided to serve notice on the follo?rJing members of the police <br />force that charges would be filed against them at the next regular meeting <br />of the Board of Public Safety to show Why they should not be dismissed <br />from the department: J. James.11att, David-C. Raymond, ':alter C. hosler, <br />LaFayette Riddle. <br />The City Attorney was instructed to draw up the co:iplaint of Chief <br />Laurence J. Lane for presentation at the next meeting when the hearing <br />would be held. <br />On recommendation of Chief Lane, the Board on motion regularly secoi -ded <br />and carried approved the demotion of Valentine Delinski fro.-,]l Sergeant to <br />patrolman and the promotion of August BeVos from patrolman to Sergeant <br />effective on h+iarch 16, 1935, subject to appointment of duties by, the Chief. <br />A representative of the home %odernizing Do. of N. Michigan St., Mir. Freeman requested that the parking space in front of their store be made <br />a loading zone, giving their customers a chance to load the purchases <br />made in their store. It was moved, seconded and carried that this request <br />be granted and the Chief was requested to give the proper instructions. <br />A communication from Iviaurice A.
