The <br />Board fully concurred, and it was decided to call a spdeial meeting <br />in the next few days, calling in the heads of all departments, so <br />as to fully duscus the matter and core to some conclusion. <br />Frank Coughlin, representing the Union Bus Lines appeared before the <br />Board in response to a request of tie Board to discus the practic- <br />ability of rescinding the parking privilege granted.them by the for- <br />mer Board of Public Safety. It was decided to withhold further <br />action until the next regular meeting of the Board. The suggestion <br />was made that it might be well to allow the Union Bus Lines to con- <br />tinue their parking privilege until other and competitive lines <br />sought a location on 1,liciligan St., when definite action. toward <br />removal would be taken up. <br />Fire Department, Chief Freeh present. <br />Matters pertaining to his department were <br />nothing of importance had transpired that <br />.Applications for the Fire Department wer <br />Glenn A. It was moved, <br />seconded and carried that the recorffaendation of the _,Mayor be approv <br />ea in the removal from the roll of thenElectrical Dept of Frank Roytek <br />and that to take his place J. H. 1.1cKnight be reinstated, to take <br />effect Feb. 1st, 1935. <br />Police Department, Chief Lane present. <br />A letter was read from Frank S. Andrews,_ suggesting that the motor- <br />cycle efficiency in the department could be improved by the instal - <br />lation of motorcycle radios, and that such an improvement could be <br />financed through the disposition of old and obsolete motorcycles we <br />have in storage. The_Board decided to take no action. <br />The situation with reference to the motorcycles now on hand and not <br />in use was discussed withnthe Chief and the Board instructed him to <br />make a survey of the motorcycles on hand, their condition and the <br />probable expense of putting them in good shape and to report at the <br />next regular meeting. <br />
