Both brothers work long hours in a loco[ plant and that "this is their <br />dream-to run and own their own restaurant". The request is for off-street parking for <br />their 72-seat restaurant, They will do all needed improvements. <br />In response to a question from Council Member Puzzella, Mr. Groves stated that his <br />clients understand that all required paving and screening requirements must be met. <br />He stated that his clients paid cash for the property and that their restaurant will be a <br />family Mexican restaurant. <br />Council Member Pfeifer stated that she hopes the venture will be a success. She <br />voiced concern however whether the clients fully understood all of the conditions, in <br />light of their inability to speak English. <br />Mr. Groves stated that their relative translated all of their conversations, and that he <br />also speaks Spanish. He stated that he would bring this lady to tonight's Council <br />meeting. <br />Council Member Kuspa stated that this "corner is a dead corner", and he welcomes the <br />investment the petitioners are making to the neighborhood. <br />Dr. Varner stated that he welcomes the private investment. <br />Council Member Kirstis stated that he ton welcomes the improvements which the <br />Petitioners will be making. <br />Following discussion, Dr. Varner made a motion, seconded by Council Member Kuspa <br />that Bill No. 07-93 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member Kirsits <br />adjourned the meeting at 3:40 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, ~~..
