SPECIAL - -MEETING <br />A..: spee'al `meeting o f the ° $oard of Public S8f'ety was held on Wednesday, <br />November 14, 1934, at So 00, P.,M Mr. McSorley absent. <br />The Clerk read a communication from Chief of Police Charles E. Bailer <br />as follows: <br />"November 13, 1934" <br />I hereby tender you my resignation as Chief of Police of the City of <br />,South Bend, Indiana, the same to take effect immediately." <br />_ "Respectfully <br />Chas. E. Bailey" <br />On motion by Mfr. Frost, seconded by Mr. Cadacz the resignation -was accepted <br />and Horace M. Hamilton was ordered to continue as Acting Chief and Leo <br />Berner to continue as Acoting Assistant Chief. <br />The meeting adjourned at 4 :30 P.
