All Ya-erabers present. <br />Minutes approved as read. <br />Bills, bearis?u the following regL?isiti0ns a �d totalling ;471.16, were <br />approved: <br />07625 07748 0774 02741 02762 02789 02845 02668 02844 02841 07763 07759 <br />02842 07756 07754 07761 07762 <br />FIRES DEPARTTi ENT: <br />Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblock, not -,present. <br />ELECTRICAL DEP.A2TI1MNT: <br />Supt. Win. F. (walls present and reported the activities of his deta rtment <br />for the past week. <br />A plan of the T.lichigan State Police whereby police cor:unication would <br />be established amongst the states in the T:1iddle +> ^,Test was accepted, and <br />on motion 'by Mr. Trost, secoi-lded by h.r. Gadacz it Baas decided to purchase <br />a radio receiving set necessary to put this plan into effect. <br />Or, motion by - 1:11x. L11cSorley, seconded by _' "r. Gadacz it vias decided to <br />erect a traffic light at the. intersectior, of Colfax Ave. c Hill St. <br />POLICE DEPART1:L'TTUIT: <br />Acting Chief, Horace 1:1. Ha-milton, present and the activities of the <br />police department discussed. <br />On motion by lr. Trost, seconded by Tt'r. Gadacz it was decided to <br />establish a loading zone in front of the G. E. Tleyer & Sor_ Hdvre. Co. <br />on W. Tef ferson Blvd. <br />The Chief submitted the followin- corlrranica.tion to the Board: <br />"Hon. Board of Public Safety, September 21, 1934 <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: <br />I herewith prefer the f ollow c'rarges agaJ st �Pai,rol :_ar? Lafayette <br />Riddle, whom I have suspended as of this date, in that the said officer <br />had been guilty of "T\TeUlect of Duty "; to wit: <br />That ors. Septe iber 14, 1934 said Officer Lai ayette Diddle failed to <br />make his last pull at Bo_. 1121 due to ben.ade at- 7:55 A. LT. <br />That m- SeDtenibr�- 16, 10?-- -Said Office Lefa_yette Rid(:!", - ,as 48 <br />minutes late on hi _last poll due at 7 :55 A. Eve rett -xrere called and Officer Riddle <br />Omitted the charges. <br />The officer was severely repri mended a.nd ad-nonis} ed that in the event of <br />further me lect on his part 'Re shall be rSrloved from the force. <br />It was decided to increase the cab stand on the sout'-,7.iest corner of <br />Michigan & Colfax Ave. one car lenght. <br />A special officer co=�ission was granted to il. 1:1. Duley on the request of <br />the University of Notre Dame. <br />The application of T. T.
