-L-JL 13 REGULAR - MEETING <br />The regular meeting °of the Board of Public Safety was held on Saturday <br />T'uly 28, 1934 at 2 :00 P. -IT. All members present. <br />Minutes &o proved as read. <br />Bills bearing the following requisition numbers were approved <br />07415 07370 07445 07206 07332 07487 07584 07589 07588 07595 07586_07494 <br />also the claims of Ed. MIcCorm ck $7196 and X1.10 and Dr. E. L: Tohnston <br />$56.50 a total of all claims of $184.08. <br />FIRE DEPARTI, NT: <br />Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblock, present. <br />Bids on fire hose tiFaere •examined but the letting of the contract was <br />deferred to the next meeting .pending test of samples by Chief Y-noblock. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTIaENT: <br />Superintendent, Vim. F. Qualls, reported the activities of :::is department. <br />POLICE DEPART=`I- EPET`w : <br />Acting C lief, Horace r,W.Hamilton, present. <br />Messrs. Robt. Elbel, Jr. and Harry Roop members of the LaSalle Rifle <br />and Pistol Club appeared before the Board and. tendered the use of <br />their rifle and pistol ranges for the use of the Police Departi-aent <br />which offer was acdepted. <br />Mr. Trost brought to the attention of the Board a dangerous condition <br />existing in the alley between-Rush and i.,Iarnetta Sts. south of Dayton <br />St. due to speeding and on motion by Iris. Trost, seconded by 1:1r. Gadacz <br />it was decided that signs limitir screed of automobiles to 10 miles <br />an hour be put up and the Chief was instructed to enforce this regulation <br />Officers Lucius La Fortune and Kenneth Logan appeared before the board <br />in behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police petitioning permission to <br />hold an F. 0. P. picnic which request was granted them on motion by <br />Ir. Gadacz, seconded by IVIr. T;�IeSorley. <br />The application of Rcllph, R. Tyler was approved and . ordered placed on <br />file. <br />WEIGHTS 8c <1EASURES : <br />Report of City Sealer, Charles T.
