KAREEMAH FOWLER <br /> CITY CLERK SOUTH BEND, IN <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br /> DEPARTMENTAL AND ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS IN 2018 OF $311,276 <br /> FROM EMS CAPITAL FUND (#287), $219,930 FROM SEWAGE WORKS <br /> OPERATING (#641), $150 FROM 2011 SEWER BOND (#659),AND $7,500 FROM <br /> 2012 SEWER BOND (#661). <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2018 operating and capital budgets in <br /> 2017 (Ordinance #10537-17 passed on October 23, 2017), which included expenditures <br /> for various City enterprise operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds <br /> for operational expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its <br /> citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2018 and <br /> set apart within the following designated funds for operational expenses as follows: <br /> FUND Amount <br /> EMS Capital Fund(4287) $311,276 <br /> Sewage Works Operating (9641) 219,930 <br /> 2011 Sewer Bond(4659) 150 <br /> 2012 Sewer Bond(4661) 7,500 <br /> TOTAL $538,856 <br /> Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> passage by the Common Council and approval of the Mayor. <br />
