REGt7L1kR 1 -lEE T ING <br />The -n ;a.lar meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on July 7, 1934 <br />at 2 :00 P. 14. All members present. <br />T1inutes approved as read. <br />FIRE DEPARTT:ENT: <br />Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblock, present and the activities of his department <br />discussed. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTLIENT: <br />Superintendent, Vim. F. Qualls, present and the activities of his depart- <br />ment di scusseQ.. <br />POLICE DEPART?. %NT: <br />Acting Chief, Horace ii. Hamilton, present. <br />On motion by Mr. Trost, seconded by 1,1r. 1,=icSorley it was decided that <br />the Clerk shall purchase four sirens to equip t1-1e down -town police cars. <br />A request from the Knights of Pythias to allow them to sell tickets for <br />a car raffle was presented. On motion by a'.ir. Gadacz, seconded by ivir. <br />Trost it was decided to give permission to sell such tickets on <br />Ilichigan Street end display the car subject, however, to the approval <br />of the Council. <br />A court order from the Hon. Fudge Chipman of Plymouth, Indiana requesting <br />the reinstatement of Patrolman Chester Wilmont was read. On motion by <br />fair. Trost, seconded by T:'r. ItIcSorley it was carried that said Wilmont be <br />reinstated to begin duty at once. <br />e application of Glen Lee was app roved. <br />he dangerous Bond tion of the corner of Kenwood and Oliver Streets was <br />iscussed. It was unanimously decided that K:anwood shall be made a <br />TOP street for Oliva Street. <br />EIGHTS & Iv1EASURES: <br />he report of City Sealer, Charles 1. Burns, was approved and ordered <br />laced on file:. <br />e Board approved bills bearing the following requisition numbers: <br />07438 97454 -07458 07338 07413 07451 07459 07452 07461 07440 07437 07453 <br />07471 07476 02776 <br />lso the claims of L. LaFortune $3.34, S. B. Tribune $7.07, C.
