Hamilton, not present being in pursuit,of bank bandits who held up a local bank and killed officer Howard Wagner. - The Board scrutinized a report of the traffic-conditions in the city and on motion by Gadacz, seconded by 1r. Trost itvwas decided that particular study and attention be given to street intersections which the report revealed as particularly dangerous. A �equest for a no parking place in front of 1005 S. Lafayette St. was ar nted. following letter was ordered spread upon the minutes of this meeting: the family of officer Howard Wagner:" The Board of Public Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana wishes convey to you their sincere sympathy and condolence in your time of row. It is with profound sadness that the members of this Board learned of sudden and tragic death of officer Howard Wagner one of the City's most thful sertants for more than five years.
