All members present. <br />Bills bearing the <br />02771 02772,02953 <br />07439 07423 07377 <br />07356,07428 <br />also the claim of <br />of $500.68. <br />following requisition numbers were approved.: <br />02750 02769 02770 02728 02722 02744 02774 02764 02765 <br />07239 07291 07361 07268 07184 07192 07247 07424 04410 <br />the South Bend News Times $7,073, a total of all claims <br />FIRE DEPARTI-11ENT: <br />Tire Chieef, Roy A. Knoblock, present. <br />Nineteen bids for coal for the fire department were opened. On motion <br />by Mr. Gadacz, seconded Mr. Trost it was decided that 6x3l' Indiana 4th <br />vein coal be purchased at the price of $7.00 per ton, <br />On motion by Mr. Trost, seconded by Mr. Gadacz, it was decided to. let the <br />contract for the coal in equal shares to the Superior Coal Co. and to the <br />Harry Ullery Coal Co. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTIVIENT: <br />Superintendent, Win. F. Qualls, present and the activities of his depart- <br />ment discussed. <br />POLICE DEPART TENT: <br />Acting Chief, Horace M. Hamilton, present and the activities of-the,Police <br />Department discussed. <br />The dhief reported that Officer Lafayette Riddle -wa$'absent due to an <br />accident suffered by him in Benton Harbor, Mich. On Notion by 11r. Gadacz, <br />seconded by 'Mr. Trost, it was decided that he shall not be co_ y�ipensated for <br />the time during which he is absent. <br />WEIG;7TS & i:IEASURES: <br />The report of City Sealer, Charles I.
