Klosinski, Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: <br />Agenda Request Form — Professional Services Agreement <br />Ameritech (Parkland Drive) Lift Station Rehabilitation <br />DATE: June 1, 2018 <br />The Division of Engineering and Division of Utilities are requesting the Board of Public Works <br />approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Abonmarche for engineering and design <br />services to provide plans and specifications for the rehabilitation of the existing Ameritech 1 <br />Parkland Drive Lift Station. <br />Background <br />Developments in the Portage Prairie development near the intersection of Parkland Drive and <br />Dylan Drive are expected to provide higher contributions to the sanitary sewers in the existing <br />development. With the increase in planned developments in this area, it is crucial to upgrade <br />this station to provide pumping equipment that will serve this area in the future. <br />The existing wet well will remain. Replacements and additions include the following upgrades: <br />• Replace two (2) submersible pumps <br />• Replace submersible pump guide rail system <br />• Replace floats and monitoring transducer <br />• Replace check valves <br />• Replace pressure gauges <br />• Replace instrumentation and controls cabinet with current City standard <br />• Relocate Metronet connection to new instrumentation and control cabinet <br />• New flow meter and flow meter bypass piping structure <br />• New flow meter <br />• New flow meter bypass piping <br />• Removal and replacement of settled concrete slab. <br />The funding sources for these improvements shall be directed from funding sources identified by <br />Public Works and the Redevelopment Commission Accounts (- - -_-_) and <br />Engineering Account (101-0608-431-31-06) as appropriate.
