Klosinski, Assistant City Engineer SUBJECT: Agenda Request Form — Professional Services Agreement Ameritech (Parkland Drive) Lift Station Rehabilitation DATE: June 1, 2018 The Division of Engineering and Division of Utilities are requesting the Board of Public Works approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Abonmarche for engineering and design services to provide plans and specifications for the rehabilitation of the existing Ameritech 1 Parkland Drive Lift Station. Background Developments in the Portage Prairie development near the intersection of Parkland Drive and Dylan Drive are expected to provide higher contributions to the sanitary sewers in the existing development. With the increase in planned developments in this area, it is crucial to upgrade this station to provide pumping equipment that will serve this area in the future. The existing wet well will remain. Replacements and additions include the following upgrades: • Replace two (2) submersible pumps • Replace submersible pump guide rail system • Replace floats and monitoring transducer • Replace check valves • Replace pressure gauges • Replace instrumentation and controls cabinet with current City standard • Relocate Metronet connection to new instrumentation and control cabinet • New flow meter and flow meter bypass piping structure • New flow meter • New flow meter bypass piping • Removal and replacement of settled concrete slab. The funding sources for these improvements shall be directed from funding sources identified by Public Works and the Redevelopment Commission Accounts (- - -_-_) and Engineering Account (101-0608-431-31-06) as appropriate.
