REGULAR IVIEETING <br />The regular weekly meeting of'the Board of Public Safety was held on <br />Saturday, February 24, 1934, at 2:00 P. ITT. with all members present. <br />President Valentine T. Gadacz presided. <br />The Board approved bills, totaling $347.10, which bear the following <br />requisition numbers: <br />09182 06944 07080 07085 06872 07068 07063 09201 0691 07062 07046 <br />07058 09199 06920 07055 07044 07079 07086 07084 07077 07078 <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblock, was present and the activities of his <br />department were discussed. <br />POLICE DEPARTIYIENT: <br />The Board heard the testimony of Dr, Robert Hoffman and the Officers <br />Poureand Vitou with reference to the case of Officer John Howard <br />regarding Dr. Hoffman's dog. <br />Moved by Mr. Trost, seconded by Mr. McSorley and unanimously carried <br />that Officer Howard be and is hereby vindicated and charge against <br />him stricken from the record,, <br />Chief of Police, Horace M. Hamilton, was present and reported the <br />-activities of his department. <br />The Board discussed the enforcement of ordinance #3032 dealing with <br />the licensing of itinerant peddlers. Mr, Paul Heiermann a representa- <br />tive of the Retail Grocerst Association was interviewed by the Board <br />and he pledged the cooperation of his association in enforcing this <br />ordinance. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />Superintendent, Wm. F. Qualls, was present and reported the activities <br />of his department. <br />WEIGIETS & IVIEASURES: <br />- - report of City Sealer, Charles J.''Burns, was read, approved and <br />ordered placed on file. <br />The Clerk was instructed to get in touch with Mr. Burns and instruct <br />him to aid in checking up on the peddlers doing business without a <br />license. <br />There being no further business Ohe meeting s adjourned :15 P.M. <br />PRESIDENT <br />ATTEST- <br />
