REGULAR 1EETING <br />Regular meeting of the Board .ref Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />Xanuary 29, 1934 at 9:00- A. M. <br />Vice-President Talentine To Gadacz presided with Wm. X, Trost., Tr. in <br />attenda'nce* <br />Bills in the sum of $602,84 and bearing the following requisition numbers <br />were approved by the-Board: <br />-961 0-6-925 0< -628 0-2629 02615 02616 02631 02620 06942 <br />06989 09220 0,6 j184 02 <br />09197 09191 06938 06971 06968 06958 06946 06928 09103 09174 09221 09213 <br />09207 09215 06974 09202 06939 06940 09165 09190 <br />Under date of January 25th, 1934, the contract for gasoline for the <br />Police, Fire,-Electrical and Dog Pound Departments with the Standard <br />Oil'Company was renewed for one year From January 1, 1934 to December <br />31,Y 1934. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />Fire Chief, Roy Knoblock, was present and the activities of his depart <br />ment were discussed. <br />POLICE DEPARTMWT: <br />Chief of Police, John B. Kuespert, was present and reported the <br />activities of his department. <br />zbyal-Rymer, who has been filling the post of radio operator on the <br />new police received, temporarily, was returned to perform regular <br />police duties. <br />On motion made by Mr. Trost and unanimously carried, the request of <br />Chief Kuespert for a two weeks vacation commencing February 5th <br />anVindefinite leave of absence, without pay, after- the- two weeks <br />'bawe elapsed, was granted. <br />On motion made joy Mr. Trost and unanimously carried, the presant <br />Assistant Chief,,Horace M. Hamilton, shall be acting Chief and <br />Officer Lee Berner shall be acting Assistant Chief. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTIAENT: <br />Nm. F. Qualls,, Superintendent, was present and reported the activities <br />of his department. <br />On motion made by Mr. Trost and unanimously carried, Francis Bockv <br />Chief Operator of the police Radio Station was placed on regular <br />shift at a salary of $100,00 per month. <br />On motion made by Mr. Trost and unanimously carried, Harry Alward <br />was granted his request for an indefinite'leave of absence without <br />pay. <br />WEIGHTS & NEASTJRES: <br />The report of City Sealer, Charles J.
