C. A. Radio Eeceivinp end Sending Set for the joint use of the Police Departments of said cities a f a cost of Forty- nine hundred and seven "011ars 04907.00), , of which the said city of South Bend shall pay the sum d Thirty -five Hundred Polls rs (3,500.00) and the said City of MAshrwEka shall pay the surd of ?Fourteen Fundred and Ninety - seven collars (1497.00); and I i - _'I I�1EREAS, saicT set Ts to be a T�.lunicipa.l Police Station Radio for the joint use and benefit of both- o=�`-sad municipalities. An PFrreemer:`t by and between said. cities as to the plscing and the upkeep am innnape -ent of said radio set as follows, to -wit: The said. city of South B shall a?�ply to the Federal R o Commission for permission to construct said station in its individual . _ . ��rr:e and said City of 1,11shawaka here, y agrees not to rea,_uest individual authority to operate a Police Radio Transmitting Station so long as the said City of South Bend continues to serve as above stated. The said set shall be stationed, or placed, in the City of Suth Bend at su.,.ch place or point as said city may designate and said. set shall be properly placed ready form.operation by said city of South Bend and at its ovrn expense. The said Citv of South Send will also construct a separate wire for tel- ephonic purposes from its said station to the dividing line between said. cities at th -e intersection of T- ishatitiaka. Avenue and Logan Street and the said Citynof T{= ishawaka will_, at its own expense, construct and place a separate Tire from the -)int at which the City of South. bend terminates its wire at said intersection, the said City of T<_ishatirraka to mpke the connection between - said wires and each city shall rrnintain, e t its own expense, the portion of said wire which is in its respective territory. The City of South Lend shall furnish and pay the salaries for three (3) licensed radio operators for the operation and management of said set and the City of 1, hewaka shall furnish and pay the sa la ry of one (1) licensed radio operator, but the said operator so furnished by said City of TL ishawakn shall be t.n.r.'er the irrna€ement, control and supervision of the said City of South Bend. ..
