Yoder Construction, Inc. would like to propose a voluntary alternate for this project. We
propose to supply and erect a stand-alone PEMB (pre-engineered metal building) in lieu of an
addition to the existing building. The following are impacts/rational/savings explained
1 Largest impact is the lead-time. If this voluntary alternate is accepted, it reduces the lead-
time for the building package from 20 weeks to 12 weeks
2. To supply and erect the stand-alone structure in this alternate, it would reduce the cost by
$9,750.00. However, until the drawings are modified and final building location
established, we do not have the cost impact of the other trades (i.e. electrical, concrete,
site work, etc).
3. The building length would be extended to a typical/standard length of 100'-0"
4. The new structure would need to be at least 20' away from the existing building
5. The endwall closest to the existing building would be designedi for future expansion to
allow the option of filling in between the existing building and the new building.
a. The new building; would need to be a maximum of 25' away from the existing
building for this scenario to work
6. The endwall furthest from the existing building is expandable
Jason Yoder, R. Yoder Construction, Inc.
ME
