Councilmember Jo M. Broden seconded this motion which carried by voice vote of nine <br /> (9) ayes. <br /> Councilmember Karen White made a motion to approve the amended minutes of the April 9th, <br /> 2018 Common Council Meeting. Councilmember John Voorde seconded the motion which carried <br /> unanimously by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> BILL NO. <br /> 18-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> COMMEMORATING AND THANKING CINDY <br /> PIECH-MILLER ON THE OCCASION OF HER <br /> RETIREMENT <br /> Councilmember Oliver Davis, 1801 Nash Street, South Bend, IN, served as the presenter for this <br /> bill. Councilmember Oliver Davis stated, I am the sixth district representative and am glad to be <br /> here to present this resolution. He then proceeded to read the resolution into the record. <br /> Councilmember Oliver Davis stated, Resolution 4706-18, A Resolution of the South Bend <br /> Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana commemorating and thanking Cindy Piech- <br /> Miller on the occasion of her retirement. Whereas, Cindy Piech-Miller has devoted the past thirty <br /> eight (38) years of her life to teaching others how to stay fit, including twenty (20) years at the <br /> "Y" and an additional eighteen (18) years at South Bend's O'Brien Fitness Center; and Whereas, <br /> 1 <br />
