r November 21st..l�l�. Board net in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. Mr. Gray Roadmaster for the Chicago, Lake Shore & South Bend Ry. Company appeared before the, Board in regard to the filler between the brick pavement on Main Street The Board ordered the Company to replace the pavement just as found and adhere to strictly to the origianl franchise. a Mr. Romine appeared before the Board and filed estimates of costs of property along the route of the proposed North Williams Street Condgamnation,. Communieation was received from the Northern Indiana Ry. Company in regard to d the cost of stone on South Michigan Street. The same was read- and placed on: file. PerriE,sion granted the Indiana & Michigan Elee. Company to set poles as follows: - To set an anchor on the south property line of 340 So. Scott Street. The Pole that has been in use as a stub has broken off,and this is .approved temporarily as this is in tie new underground distri-et, and to avoid danger 'this guy or anchor should be plaeed -there at once. Petition filed with the Board for street light at intersection df Eckman anc2 Michigan Street. The sarie was referred to the Street Commissioner for investigation ✓ Petition filed with the Board asking for the intention of Ottowa Rourt across the L.S.& M. S. Ry. to Indiana Avenue. The sane was referred to the City Engineer for investigation. The following resolutions were approved by the Board, and referred to the Common Council for ratification. Resolution transferring Board of Public Works authority over St. Louis Street, from south side of South Bend Avenue to north side of Corby Street unto the Board of Park Con- misioners; full control over said street for boulevard purposes. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Publie Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that it is deemed and desired necessary that St. Louis Street,fron the south side of South Bend Avenue to the north side of Corby Street, in the City of South Bend.,Indiana, be under the control and supervis&n of the Board of Park Commi sioners of said City, and converted by'said Board into a pleasure drive -way and boulevard and made a part of the boulevard system of said City. And Be It Further Resolved that the Board of Public Works do now here- by transfer to.said Board of Park Commissioners, full authority, control and super— vision over said street and renounce in favor of said Board of Park Commissioners, all its power over and to said street for the purposes herein above set out. Re— serving ,however, unto this Board of Public Works the right to lay2eonnect,and order to be laid and connected, all pipes, sewers,conduits and other underground work, retaining hereby for such last named purposes all the power which this Board originally had in and to said street.
