The Board then instructed Michael <br />Barany, Clerk, to notify Clifford Cripe that his services would <br />cease at 12 o'clock noon, May lst., 1933, thereby effecting a <br />saving of $100.00 pe month. <br />Chief of Police, John B. 'Kuespe rt , informed the Board that he <br />will suspend on this date Officer wilmount for cause, and further . <br />stated that he will prefer charepes against said officer at a hear- <br />ing to be h el d on th e 8th. , d qy o f May, 1933. <br />FIRE DEPART1trZENT <br />The Board deferred until the. next meeting the awarding of the <br />Fire Hose contra for the reason that the City Controller ad- <br />vised the Board that delinquent tax anticipatory warrants would <br />be issued in payment of any such contra ct. Board then instruct- <br />ed the Clerk to notify bidders. of this action. <br />The application of Harry Thomas was approved and ordered placed <br />on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPAR`IVINT <br />Gilliam F. Qualls, Superi .dendent, presented weekly time sheets <br />for his department and informed the Board that he had moved <br />police box #324 from the corner of Calvert Street and 11umford <br />Court to Calvert Street and Leer Street, as requested in a peti- <br />tion filed by citizens in that vicinity. <br />WEIGHTS AND MEASURES DEPARTMENT <br />Weekly report of City Sealer, Chas.
