ZOLL Medical X Series Specifications
Thank you for allowing ZOLL Medical Corporation to respond to the bid document distributed
by The City of South Bend, IN
ZOLL believes that the X Series' Monitor/DefibriHator absolutely meets or exceeds the needs of The City
of South Bend. However, it is very clear that the specifications themselves are identical to those of the
Physio-Control LIFEPAK 15' and/or L]IFENIET' System and are therefore impossible for any other product
to meet. WILL feels that this blatant use of "lockout specs" provided by a single manufacturer violates
the spirit and intent of a true bid process. Thus, we respectfully request that you consider the X Series
on the merits of its own unique benefits.
Designed primarily for EMS operations, the X Series is about half the size and half the weight of
competitive full -featured monitor/defibrillators, yet much more powerful and built to the most
extensive standards for ruggedness — is the only monitor/defibrillator that offers the following:
See-Thru CPR' artifact filtering, allowing rescuers to see
underlying rhythms without pausing compressions.
Real CPR Help providing real-time rate, depth and release
feedback for superior performance when it matters most.
In addition, (near) future innovations on the X Series will
include:
• CPR Ready-Charge'm, a revolutionary technology that will simultaneously filter out CPR artifact and
run an advisory algorithm during continuous CPR delivery. Then, if a shock is advised, the X Series
will charge itself. All the rescuer will need to do is to stop compressions for only as long as it takes to
press the "shock" button.
RescueNet LinkTm: without any user intervention, "Sense n' SynCIITM technology allows the X Series,
RescueNet electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) and RescueNet Navigator vehicle mapping to
automatically upload critical information in real-time to a large vehicle display to help you provide
the best possible care. This same information, can also be simultaneously viewed by the ED staff in
real-time, allowing them to be fullly prepared for your arrival.
Real-time, Integrated Operation with AutoPulse': X Series also has the ability to communicate in
real-time with the revolutionary AutoPulse automated CPR device.
The, key benefits of this system are:
— Shock Timing: The system automatically times, shock delivery to the beginning of the relaxation
phase. This is the most advantageous point of the compression/relaxation cycle, which
maximizes the likelihood of shock success.
— Continuous Compression Shock: The AutoPulse continues to compress while the X Series
delivers a shock, keeping pause/no-flow time to an absolute minimum. The devices are
optimally coordinated to ensure the most effective operation of each and consistent circulatory
support during treatment,
