Coverdale, <br />Harry E. million and Bert Froste. <br />The Board approved special police bond of Bert Froste with <br />the Employers Liability Assurance Company, Ltd. <br />The Board ordered bus loading zone on the West side of St. Jos., <br />St., from Jefferson Blvd., South to the first driveway. <br />Michael Barany, Clerk, presented the following letter from <br />the South Bend News- Times: <br />Mr. John K spert, <br />Chief of Police, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Dear Chief: <br />Would you have any objection to the News -Times <br />offering a medal that carries with it a year's <br />subscription to the paper to the man on your <br />force that you selected as having done the most <br />outstanding piece of police work? <br />It is our idea to have you make this selection <br />each three months. The medal would designate <br />the man as a member of the St. Joseph Valley <br />Fellers Club. <br />Let me know if you approve and we will give it <br />a story or two and will ask you Mares 1 for the <br />first selection. <br />Cordially yours, <br />Fred Millis, <br />President." <br />After discussing the above letter with Chief of Police, John <br />B. Kuespert, the Board unanimously agreed to co- operate with <br />the News -Times and instrw ted the Clerk to inform Mr. Millis <br />that they are willing to co- operate with him in this matter. <br />Applicationsof John Swiatowy and Stanley J.
