REGULAR MEET ING <br />JANUARY 3, 1933. <br />Regular meeting held by the Board of Public Safety Tuesday, <br />January 3, 1933. <br />Meeting called to order By Mr. C. A. Budd at 9 :10 o- clock <br />A.M. Kue spert, confined to his home on account of illness, <br />was not present at this meeting. <br />On recommendation of Chief Kuespert, the Board authorized <br />Michael Barany, Clerk, to purchase Tear -Gas Guns and <br />equipment in the amount of $155.00 from the Lake Erie <br />Chemical Company . <br />The Board approved Officer William Szymanski's bond #69320 <br />of Glenn Falls Indemnity Company. <br />At the request of Fred Hamilton, Merchant Police, and on <br />recommendation of Chief Kuespert, the Board granted special <br />police commission to Harvey O'Hare. <br />The annual report of the Police Department was presented at <br />this meeting by the Cler$ of the Board, which was examined <br />and ordered placed on file. <br />Weekly report of Policewoman, .Mrs. Minnie Evans, was examined <br />and placed on 'file. <br />The Board issued 1933 Press Cards to newspaper men and <br />reporters as requested by letters from South Bend Tribune, <br />South Bend News Times and Chicago Herald & Examiner. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblock, reported the ,activies of his <br />department and stated that the fire truck purchased from <br />the General Fire Truck Company, St. Louis, Mo., ,will be <br />delivered January 4, 1933, at which time a test will be <br />made before truck will be accepted. <br />Fire loss report for the months of October and November <br />1932 was presented by Chief Knoblock, examined and ordered <br />placed on file. <br />I <br />11 <br />
