F - 4 - <br />SPECIAf MEET ING <br />NOVEMER 15, 1932 <br />Special meeting held by the Board of Public; Safety Tuesday, <br />November 15, 1932, for the purpose of receiving bids and- <br />awarding contracts for the purchase of fire equipment. <br />The following bids were presented: <br />GENERAL FIRE TRUCK COMPANY ST. LOUIS, MO. <br />500-gallon Pumper, only 2,450.00 <br />PETER PIRSCH & SONS CO1,-1PANY, KENOSHA, WISCONSIN. <br />500-gallon Pumper, only 3,365.00 <br />BOYER FIRE APPARATUS COITIPANY, LOGANSPORT, INDIANA. <br />$ <br />500-gallon Pumper, only. 3,681.55 <br />3CHERMAN-SCHAUS-FREEMUIN COTZPANY, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />Studebaker Bus Chassis,only 1,950.00. <br />SEAGRAVE CORPORATION, COLU111BUS, OHIO. <br />Pumper and Chassis P 5 <br />This bid was rejected by the Board. owing to the fact that the <br />Company had not complied with the requirement that each bid <br />must be accompanied with certified check in the amount of <br />$1000.00. <br />After going over all specifications carefully, motion was <br />made by Mr. Gadacz, seconded by 11r. Trost, that the contract <br />for the 500-gallon Pumper be awarded to General Fire Truck <br />Company of St. Louis, 1-i4isso uri, for the sum of $2,450.00, and <br />the contract for the Chassis be awarded to the Scherman-Schaus- <br />Freeman Company of South Bend, Indiana, for the sum of $1,950.00. <br />There being no further b usiness to consider, this meeting <br />adjourned at 12:15 P.11. <br />IN <br />
