64- <br />The weekly meeting of''the Board of Public`Sefety was held 'in the Boards <br />Office Monday December 12th., 1927 <br />Meeting was called to order at 4 :05 P.M. by President Engeldrum. <br />Mr. Nicely was not present. <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. <br />sa FIRE DEPT. <br />Firs Dept. bills were approved and ordered apid. <br />Motion prevailed that the applications of Joseph Anthony Labin, Joseph' <br />Walter Naperalski, and Joseph Nemec be approved and.ordered paaced.`on i. <br />file. <br />Chief Knoblock reported to the Board that Capt. Irving Sibrel had <br />be en absent from duty since November 8th. on account of illness. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPT. <br />,Electrical Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid. <br />Motion prey Aled that the weekly ,report of Supt. Qualls for the week <br />ending December 11th. be approved and ordered paid. <br />DEPT. OF WEIGHTS MEASURES <br />City Sealers bills were approved and ordered paid <br />Tdlotion prevailed that City Sealer Burns VV eekly report for the we °k end- <br />ing December 10th. be accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />Motion prevailed that City Sealer Burns be instructed to carefully <br />check all weighing scales, and measures used by vendors of candy, nuts <br />and other xmas goods who are in business for the holiday season only. <br />POLICE DEPT. <br />Police Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid., <br />Attorney Geo. Sands who is now acting as attorney for Officer Ray.Kile <br />asked that the trial of Officer Kile be prosponed. for on more week. <br />Motion "prevaile'd that Attorney Sands request be granted. <br />Motion prevailed that the applications of R.O_.Newton, Julius DeRo'se; <br />a,nc_ Oliver Cromwell Gawthorpe be . 'accepted miff ordered placed on file <br />Motion - revailed that gloves be purchased for the Sergt.
