64- The weekly meeting of''the Board of Public`Sefety was held 'in the Boards Office Monday December 12th., 1927 Meeting was called to order at 4 :05 P.M. by President Engeldrum. Mr. Nicely was not present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. sa FIRE DEPT. Firs Dept. bills were approved and ordered apid. Motion prevailed that the applications of Joseph Anthony Labin, Joseph' Walter Naperalski, and Joseph Nemec be approved and.ordered paaced.`on i. file. Chief Knoblock reported to the Board that Capt. Irving Sibrel had be en absent from duty since November 8th. on account of illness. ELECTRICAL DEPT. ,Electrical Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid. Motion prey Aled that the weekly ,report of Supt. Qualls for the week ending December 11th. be approved and ordered paid. DEPT. OF WEIGHTS MEASURES City Sealers bills were approved and ordered paid Tdlotion prevailed that City Sealer Burns VV eekly report for the we °k end- ing December 10th. be accepted and ordered placed on file. Motion prevailed that City Sealer Burns be instructed to carefully check all weighing scales, and measures used by vendors of candy, nuts and other xmas goods who are in business for the holiday season only. POLICE DEPT. Police Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid., Attorney Geo. Sands who is now acting as attorney for Officer Ray.Kile asked that the trial of Officer Kile be prosponed. for on more week. Motion "prevaile'd that Attorney Sands request be granted. Motion prevailed that the applications of R.O_.Newton, Julius DeRo'se; a,nc_ Oliver Cromwell Gawthorpe be . 'accepted miff ordered placed on file Motion - revailed that gloves be purchased for the Sergt. Mechanic., and assistant that they may have them when called to work on stalled police cars in cold weather. Motion prevailed to adjourn at 5:05 P.M.
