Qualls for the week ending, <br />Nov. lath., a.nd 2Oth. be accepted and ordered and placed on file. <br />Motion prevailed that the application of C.B.Lyon for aperator at the Alarm <br />Station be accepted and orderedd, placed on file. <br />DEPT. OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES <br />City Sealers bills were approved and ordered paid. <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly reports of City Sealer Burns for the weeks <br />ending November 12th., and 19th. be accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPT. <br />Police Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid. <br />Motion prevailed that the application of S.J.Ka.zmieryak be accepted and <br />ordered placed on file. <br />An agreeemnt between the Board of Public Safety, City of South Bend and <br />Jacob Hoffman, and Geo. Harrop (.Garage Keepers ) for the renting of the <br />LaSalle Garage was-signed by the Board Members. <br />Chief :Tattrecommended to the Board that California Ave. be made a prefer-ent <br />ial traffic St. at the intersection of Blaine Ave. <br />Motion.prevailed that California Ave. be made a preferential St. at the <br />'intersection of Blaine Ave. <br />Chief Hatt reported that upon rove vm.stigation he finds that to make Kimball <br />el <br />Ave,. .a preferential St. a,t the intersection of West Indiana Ave. would not <br />be `practical, but that red flasher Lights at the two dead ends of Indiana- <br />Ave. would serve a better purpose. <br />.Motion.prevailecd that the petition of H.F.Reaves, Geo. Toth and others that <br />Kimball Ave be made a preferential Street over West Indiana Ave.- be denied <br />and petitioners be notified. <br />A petition signed by Geo. Schock, Alex Bukowski, and others that former <br />officer Joseph Kolo on the Police Dept. be rbi -s -atdd was received <br />Motion prevailed that the aboue petition -be placed on file with the a.pplicat <br />'ions of the applicants accepted. <br />Motion prevailed that Chief Hatt be instructed to inagurate a campaign <br />against speeders, motorists who,start.a.cross intersections with the amber <br />Light;, motorists who driv: thru safety zones, and traffic law violators in <br />general. ` <br />Motion prevailed that Chief Hatt be insaructed.to make a survey of the-City <br />and make a record of all ,shrubbery Etc;. on terracees that- - would obstruct_ <br />motorists view upon approaching street intersections <br />Motion prevailed to adjourn at 5 :45 P.
