127 <br />Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. <br />Mr. C. H. Pavey appeared before the Board and agreed to carry out the requirements <br />of the Fidelity & Casualty Company, inspection of the City Hall boilers y for Forty Nine <br />($49.00)Dollars2 also to reflue the east boiler for Ninety Seven Dollars and 50 cents <br />($97.50). ;The same was awarded to him. <br />dHearing given on.Improvement Resolution No.. 298 for the Grade on First Alley North of <br />Madison Street from St. Louis Street to St. Peter Street. In the City of South Bend, Ind., <br />In the above matter no remonstrators .appeared and no further remon- <br />strance was filed. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said. improvement <br />that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to thenestimated <br />cost of said improvement, and the same are hereby in -all things ratified, confirmed and <br />approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 29th., day of <br />August,1913 -and on the 3rd., day of September,1913 in the South Bend Daily Nears -Times <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to <br />10:00 A.M. on the 16th.2 day of September,1913 The Board reserves the right to reject <br />any or all bids. <br />,,-Bond and contract for grade, curb and walk on Foster Street from Howard Street to St. <br />Vincent Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 271. signed by meao'rge Headley as <br />principal and Guy S. Staples and Walter Hildebrand as Surety, was approved by the Board. <br />President. <br />
