Beard met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. The following remonstrance was presented to the Board and was plated on file. /To the Beard of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana. We, the undersigried petitioners, respe ctf°ully represent to your Tionera,ble Board that we are owners of real estate along Vistula Avenue between Semple Street and Caroline Street, in the City of South Bend., Indiana: that we be- lieve the placing of poles in the street along said Vistula, Avenue will be un- sightly and. dangerous, and to that end we are willing to grantte the Board of Publia Works and to the Chicage, South Bend & Northenn Indiana, Railway Company the right to plate poles for trolley wires upon our private property,previd.ed, such poles are placed immediately east and north of the sidewalk which is or is is be placed on the easterly r,dd northerly side of said Vistula. Avenue between said two streets.n We are also willing for said poles to hold other wires until such a, time as ether wires shall be plated under ground in, aeeorUnee with present underground wire ordinances car any amendments or supplements which may be passed - by the Common Council of said City with reference thereto, when such poles shall be removed and iron poles placed in their stead. We believe that said Company should put iron poles in the curb- ing along said easterly and northerly side of said Vistula. Avenue and. that when the wires, other than trolley and span wires, are placed underground, the said poles hereby petitioned to be placed fton, our private property should be removed. We, therefore, pray your honorable Board to request the said Railway Company and the owners of other wires and poles to place -their wires -and poles in accordance with this petition. Bond and eentraat for censtruetion, of curb and grade on Missoula Avenue from N. line of Morris Park to S. line of Morris Park,under improvement Resolution. No. 236 signed by T.C.Barnes as prixicipa.l and Harry H. Barnes & Jesse H.Barnes as suretie was approved by the Boards Bona and 'contract for Qonstruetion of eurb and grade on Medera Street from N. lino of Morris Pork to S. line of Morris Park, under Improvement Resolution No.237, signed by T.C.Banres as prixieipal and Harry N. Barres and Jesse H. Barnes as sureties, was approved by the Board.
