It further represents that its railroad tracks <br />extends through the.City of South Bend in arvd easterly and westerly direction <br />and crosses Robinson Street, Ernsberger Street, and Caroline Street at grade, <br />and the same petitioner petitions your Honorable Board that it is permitted <br />to raise the elevation of its tracks, to the extent of not, more than Ten (10)- <br />inches above the present level of the tracks as they now cross the above mention: <br />ed streets., in accordance with the blue print which bt filed herewith and made <br />a pars, of this petition. • • • • • • • > <br />approved Lew York Central Railroad Co. <br />By Yeagley $a Wolfe <br />NdV. 2791923. JOSEPK (BOUNTY SS <br />Before the Board of Public Works ofnthe City of South Bend <br />comes now the New York Central Railroad Company, and by its written petition ask <br />asks permission to raise the elevation -of its tracks in the City of South Bend, <br />where the said tracks cross Caroline, Ernberger and Robinson Streets to and <br />°elevation of not more than ,Ten (10) inches above the present level of said <br />tracks as they now cross the above mentioned streets. And this Board being <br />duly advised in the premises finds that said permission should be granted. <br />Therefore be it now resolved, that the said New York Central Railroad Company is <br />hereby authorized to raise the elevation of its tracks where the same cross the <br />three (3) above nemed streets to an elevation of not more than Ten (10) inches <br />above the present elevation of said tracks, and provided further that the <br />approaches to said tracks shall not be more than a five per cent grade except <br />the approach to the track on the north side of Robinson Street which shall not <br />be more than a seven per cent grade, and provided further that the New York <br />Central Railroad Company shall at its own costs and expense take care of all <br />sidewalk and street approaches to its tracks at said crossings. <br />And the same shall be repleaced in as good condition as <br />they are at the present time. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />L.
