Resolved that 'notices as to the assessments be published on th <br />24th. dv ?Tot1t y 1 3'" and non the 31s1:. dad of Juk#r, i923 in the South Bend News,: <br />Times and Tribune, stating that -this Board will give -a` hearing on the' aiwunts ® ` <br />such office `in the City Hall- on the 8th. day. of August 1923 <br />at 7:15 P.M. <br />Resolved further that the entire work under the above contract be <br />accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. <br />Bngtneer filed assessment roll and final estimate for sewer ob <br />Marietta Street, from Pennslvania Avenue to Broadway,'under Improvement Resolution <br />No. 1077 . Webster at .................. ...$5,609.60 <br />Grade, curb and walk on Various Street in City awarded to Indiana <br />Construction Cmpany on prices bid July 17th., 1923. <br />Cancer ning the improvement of the roadway of Brookfield Street <br />from Lincoln Way Wert to Vassar Avenue with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bitulithie <br />concrete or brick, in.,pursuance to Resolution No, this baiag Board bbing fully <br />finds that no petition has been filed with said.Board by a majortty in number of the <br />freeholders residing on said street to be improved, requesting that it be Improved <br />with a different kind of pavement than the kind heretofore adopted by the Beard <br />in its preliminary order; and the City Engineer reports that the Williston Construction, <br />Co. is the lowest and best bidder for the kind 6 pavement heretofore adopted.by the <br />Board, and the Board so finds that the Williston Construction Co. is the lowest add <br />best bidder and hereby lets the c©nstract for said,improvement to them and orders <br />that said improvement be made with sheet asphalt using Mexican asphalt and all proceed- <br />ings heretofore had in this matter are hereby in all thinga ratified, confirmed and <br />approved. - <br />Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Marietta Street from <br />Broadway to Indiana Ave. with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bitulithie, concrete or <br />brick, in pursuance to;Resolution No., This board finds that no petition has been <br />filed frith sai Board by a majority in number of the freeholders residing on said street <br />to be improved, requesting that it be improved with a different kind of pavement than thi <br />kind heretofore adopted by the Board in its preliminary order; and the City Engi.3.neer <br />reports that, the Williston Construction Company is the lowest and best bidder for the <br />kind of pavement heretofore adapted by the Board, and the Board find that the Williston <br />Construction Co. is the lowest and best bidder and hereby lets the contract for said <br />improvement to them and orders that said improvement be made with Veedersburg <br />Brick with bituminous Filler and concrete base and all proceedings heretofore had <br />in this Witter are hereby confirmed and ratified. <br />LAU r TER <br />Attested: <br />L.
