<br />STREET OR ALLEY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0,, 1239.
<br />Be it Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,
<br />St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, That it desired and deemed necessary to improve
<br />Altgeldt-Street from Erskine Boulevard to High Street as follows, topwitc-
<br />Said street
<br />shall be graded and - the roadway thereof shall be paved; also the roadway of certain
<br />portions of the streets, and alltys w."a ch enter or intersect said street, shall_ be

<br />or Polled grvel six (6) inches thick for the brick, also cement curb and cement sidewalk
<br />shall be constructed -along -said -street where same -is -necessary and not already con-
<br />structed, manhiles, storm water inlets and conduits shall be constueted where.necessary
<br />li manhole tops and storm water inlets shall be set to the proper grade, cement

<br />necessary, all as is more p%rtciulariy shown and all in accordance with tr'ie plans,
<br />profiles, detail drawings and specifications on file in the. -Office of the Department

<br />Xtallnaents, v th interest at .the rate of Sig per cent per annum. A bond or bonds will be issued to the Coat-
<br />tractor to the amount of such deferred asssssmcuts in pro rate payment for such improvement.
<br />Under no circumstances shall the city of South Bend be, or be held responsible for any sum or sulms due
<br />from esid property owner or owners for said work, or for the collection of the same, or for the payment of any
<br />bond, bonds, certificate- or certificates, issued to said c^ tractor in payment For such work, except for such
<br />moneys as shall have actually been received by the City from the asse:,sments for such improvement, or such
<br />moneys as said Clip is by said entitled Act and rr;—d-^eat and supplements thereto required to pay. All
<br />proceedings had, and 'work &one in the n4aking of said i ovement, as:erssnent of property, collection of a[f.-
