Schock were present.. <br />Attorney Schock anounced that the defense would rest, and would not <br />insist-that the defense witnesses be heard, as.it would be a hard matter <br />and mean further delay to get them in to testify. <br />The Board retired to an adjoining room prepair their verdict. <br />The Board Poubd Officer Wielopolski GUILTY as charged, and sentanced him <br />to rema.in''susperiaed wmthibut pay until July 16th. 1927; also that Officer <br />Wielopolski forfeit his vacation for the year 1927.Officer Wielopolski <br />was also reprimanded, and warned not to have any further dif iculties with <br />his superior officers. <br />FIRE DEPT. <br />Bills # to`# were approved and ordered paid <br />Motion prevailed that the application of Emil DeRose be accepted. and <br />ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPT. <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly report of Shpt . Qualls for the week <br />ending July 9th. be accepted and ordered placed, on file. <br />DEPT OF WEIGHTS & IZASURES <br />Motion ;prevailed that the weekly report of City Sealer Burns for the <br />week ending July 9th. also monthly report for the Month of June be - accept <br />ed and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPT. <br />Bills # to # were a-Pproved and ordered p id. <br />Lotion prevailed that an ordered be issued,by Chief to all drivers of <br />Police Cars, th the efldct that motors be shut off at alltiffies when cars <br />are stopped l. <br />Lotion prevaied that.a letter be sent to Officer Justus Bloom commend in g <br />him for his courage and quick thinking at Playland Park on the Afternoon <br />of July 4th. when his,'coura,ge, and quick thinking saved the life of a <br />sma,:l'boy who had wandered out on the race track during the Automobile <br />races. <br />Motion prevailed that Officer Bloom be granted $10.00 per month extra <br />pay for a period of 5 months beginning July loth., 1927 under provisions <br />of Ordinance # 2629. <br />Motion prevailed that the bid of the Dan R. Lontz Coal Co. of $4.70 per <br />ton for # 9 vein Western Kentucky bitiminus coal be accepted and that <br />the Dan R.
