Mr. Reeder was not present Officer ffieloplolski and his Attorney Geo. Schock were present.. Attorney Schock anounced that the defense would rest, and would not insist-that the defense witnesses be heard, as.it would be a hard matter and mean further delay to get them in to testify. The Board retired to an adjoining room prepair their verdict. The Board Poubd Officer Wielopolski GUILTY as charged, and sentanced him to rema.in''susperiaed wmthibut pay until July 16th. 1927; also that Officer Wielopolski forfeit his vacation for the year 1927.Officer Wielopolski was also reprimanded, and warned not to have any further dif iculties with his superior officers. FIRE DEPT. Bills # to`# were approved and ordered paid Motion prevailed that the application of Emil DeRose be accepted. and ordered placed on file. ELECTRICAL DEPT. Motion prevailed that the weekly report of Shpt . Qualls for the week ending July 9th. be accepted and ordered placed, on file. DEPT OF WEIGHTS & IZASURES Motion ;prevailed that the weekly report of City Sealer Burns for the week ending July 9th. also monthly report for the Month of June be - accept ed and ordered placed on file. POLICE DEPT. Bills # to # were a-Pproved and ordered p id. Lotion prevailed that an ordered be issued,by Chief to all drivers of Police Cars, th the efldct that motors be shut off at alltiffies when cars are stopped l. Lotion prevaied that.a letter be sent to Officer Justus Bloom commend in g him for his courage and quick thinking at Playland Park on the Afternoon of July 4th. when his,'coura,ge, and quick thinking saved the life of a sma,:l'boy who had wandered out on the race track during the Automobile races. Motion prevailed that Officer Bloom be granted $10.00 per month extra pay for a period of 5 months beginning July loth., 1927 under provisions of Ordinance # 2629. Motion prevailed that the bid of the Dan R. Lontz Coal Co. of $4.70 per ton for # 9 vein Western Kentucky bitiminus coal be accepted and that the Dan R.
