Engeldrum at 4 :OOP.M. <br />FIRE DEPT; <br />Bills to were approved and ordered <br />paid. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPT. <br />Motion prevailed to acoept and order placed on file the weekly report of <br />Supt' Quayle for the week ending June 25th. 1927.- <br />DEPT OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly report of City Sealer Burns ior the week <br />ending June 25th., 1927 be ac epted and ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPT. <br />Bills to <br />were approved and ordered paid. <br />Motion prevailed that the applications of Geo. W. <br />Satyr -Delbert L. Garri . <br />son; and Michael Greszazk be-accepted and -ordered placed on file. <br />Motion prevailed that the bids for coal that were advertie.d for ;in the <br />News Papers 'On June 218t., _and Uth. be opened and tabulated at the next <br />regta.lar meeting of July 5th, 1927 <br />Chief Hatt reported that Officer Chester Wielop(.)lski has been suspended <br />since June 22nd.,y1927; and that charges of Direct disobedienc-e of orders, <br />Insubordination,, conduct unbecoming an Officer, and failure -to report at <br />roll ball have been prefered against Officer Weilopolski by Sergt, Peter <br />Rudynski, and Copt Wm. McMahon, and that Officer Wielopolski was ready for <br />trial <br />Motion prevailed that Officer Wielopo'lski be called ,awn before the Board <br />to'stand trial on,these charges, and that the Boarq'go into session as a <br />Trial Body. <br />Officer Wieloplolski appeared before the Board, and was represented by <br />Attorney Geo. Schock as his council. <br />Attorney Paul ".Jackson represented the the City.in the absense of City <br />Attorney Romig. <br />k; Officer Wielopolski pleaded "NotGuilty" to both charges No. 1 and No. 2 <br />The trial proceeded and the following witnesses were examined- <br />Cap <br />'s. McMahon, Capt. Lane, Sergt. Jennings, Sergt Rudynski., 'Capt.) Bunker <br />Alarm - Station Hyatt, and.Officer Wielopolski. <br />Officer Wielopolski thru his Attd,�ey Geo. Schock asked that -he be given <br />time to have some of his witnesses/ testify, and the trial be prosponedv or <br />._ continued until some time later-in the week. <br />This request was granted by the Board and Thursday June 30th. was set as the date that the trial would be resumed. <br />The.Spedial Meeting of Thursday June 30th. was y <br />prosponed or cancelled <br />due "to <br />the inability of one of the Board Members to be present, and the <br />resumption of the trial was automaticaly held over until the next regular <br />fleeting of Tuesday July 5th., 1927. <br />.. <br />The regular< meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Boards <br />Officeuesday July 5th 1927. <br />f `Monday July 4th. being Independence Day <br />a' Regal Holiday. <br />Y Mr.._.Nicely was not present. <br />Meeting was culled to order at 4:15 P.�vj. <br />Minotes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.. <br />A communication was received from A�torney Geo. Schock asking that the <br />resumtio.n of the Trial of Officer Wielopolss i be prosponed until some <br />future da.tebecause of the illness of Attorney Schock. <br />Motion "prevailed that the resumption of the trial be prosponed until the <br />next regular meeting of of July llth: , 1927. <br />FIRE EEPT. - <br />Bills, to# were approved and ordered paid. <br />Motion prevailed that the applications of Frank Remmler, and Gordon.L. <br />Milton be accepted and ordered palced on file. <br />Motion prevailed that Chief Knoblock be sent to the.National Convention of <br />Fire Chiefs at i'ortland Oregon on Aug. 9th. 10th. llt)� <br />and 12th. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPT. <br />Motion prevailed that the weekly report of Supt Qualls for the week ending <br />- -J_Uly,U10 be accept ed and ordered placed on file.
