Warranty: Unit to carry full one year warranty. Travel outside the City limits of <br />South Bend for warr anty repairs will be the responsibilities of the <br />successful bidder and must take place within next normal work day. <br />Manuals & <br />Training: Successful bidder to provide eight hours of operation and maintenance <br />training at the City Central Services facility, Two operators, parts and <br />service manuals to be provided with the unit. <br />Rear Mount 60 Foot Aerial Device <br />Configuration <br />A. Unit <br />a. Aerial Device shall be Elliott Equipment Company Hi -Reach, Model L60R-MHA <br />or equivalent as approved by the City. <br />b. Boom shall consist of three (3) sections with two (2) sections telescoped <br />hydraulically <br />c., The boom shall attain an are of travel no less than 75 degrees above, horizontal to <br />20 degrees below horizontal, 95 degrees total. <br />d. All sharp edges on the unit and the boom shall be rounded off for safety. <br />B. Platform <br />a. Aerial device shall be provided with one (1) removable rotating platform <br />manufactured of steel. <br />b. Platform shall be attached to the leveling frame with a self -guided sel-latching <br />detachable mount.. Attachment and removal must be accomplished utilizing the <br />boom hydraulics. <br />c. In addition to a self -latching pin mechanism, the detachable mount shall have a <br />safety lock pin. <br />d. The platform detachable mount shall be hinged to the leveling frame utilizing <br />flanged bearings. <br />e. Platform shall include a hydraulic cylinder rotator capable of allowing the <br />operator to move the platform horizontally through an arc of no less than 45 <br />degrees right and 45 degrees left or normal position. <br />f. Platform shall be rectangular <br />g. Platform shall be 40 inches X 60 inches. <br />h. Platform. floor shall be punched aluminum <br />i. Platform. rails shall be 40 inches in height. <br />j. Platform shall be equipped with safety chain on opening. <br />k. The platform shall be equipped with two (2) safety lanyard attachments. <br />C. Boom Construction <br />a, The boom shall be constructed of high strength steel rectangular tube sections <br />with 46,000 PSI min. <br />b, The boom assembly shall include heavy duty cylinder fittings, heavy pivot pins <br />and replaceable, ultra -high molecular weight polyethylene wear plates. <br />12 <br />
