<br />INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
<br />Sealed bias or proposals `for the furnishings of lamps and ligght
<br />and the necessary maintenance of the same for the lighting of streets, alleys,
<br />and public places in the City of South Bend, Ino ana, all in accordance with plabq
<br />and specifications therefor, endorsedt " Proposals for electric Service," with the.
<br />name of the person or corporation making the bid will be received by the Board of
<br />Public Works of the City of South Band, , when called for during the meeting of sad
<br />said Board of Public Works, to be.� held at, its meeting-place;in the City
<br />Building in the City of South Bengt at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M. on the 9th.,stay
<br />of October 19251, and immediately thereafter at said time and place during said
<br />session of said Board 6f Public Works, bids will- be publicly opened and read and.
<br />the award of the contract, if awarded, will be made by resolution of the Board
<br />of Public Yorks ,as , soon: thereafter as practicable.
<br />Each bidder shall fide With the Board of Public Works of said City
<br />with lfs.bid, an affidavit.as required by law, stating that such bidder has not
<br />directly or indirectly entered into•any collusion,. combination or undertaking
<br />or agreement with any other'bidder to maintain the price of the services or con �
<br />tiact`herein �speolfied, or to prevent any 'other bidder or bidders) from- bidding
<br />on such services or contract &r.to. induce any bidder or bidders to refrain
<br />from bidding on such contrast or services, that such bid is made without regard
<br />or ,reference to any other bid or bids sand without any agreement, undertaking
<br />or dombination either directly or indirect y- with --any epersan firm or corporation
<br />with reference to such bidding in any way or manner whatsoever.
<br />All bids shAll be upon forms prepared therefor, by the Board of
<br />Public wo' rks, 'or upon forms subptantially si-milar thereto and shall be enclosed
<br />in an envelope directed to 'the `Boar'd "of Public Works of the City of South Bend
<br />and shall have endorsed thereon " Proposal for Electric Service," tith the
<br />• name od the person, -firm or corporation making the -bid.
<br />The blank form of proposal which may be used by the bidder and ;the
<br />fort of the.cdntractm.bidder's non -collusion affidavit and the specifications
<br />for said services may be obtained at the office of said Board.
<br />The Board of Public Works hereby reserves the right to reject any
<br />and all bids.

<br />' Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works of the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, did, on the P2-nS€.daY Of 6004or 1925, adopt and place on
<br />file, in the office of said Board, specifications for lighting streets, alleys
<br />and public places in the City of South Bend, with electricity, together with
<br />instructions to bidders, form of - proposal, non -collusion affidavit and contract
<br />to be entered into with the successful bidder, and did, on said day order that
<br />notice be given to the public and contractors that sealed proposals for the
<br />furnishing of sraid.sernvice to the City of South Bend for a period of nine years
<br />from and after the 1st, day of January, 1926, at non, in accordance with the
<br />specifications so adopted and on file in the office od the said Board, would be
<br />received by the said Board of Public works when called for during the meeting.
