She added that in reviewing regulations in other Indiana communities, that diversity <br />was the term used throughout. <br />Council Member Rouse noted that the local regulations were never designed to create quotas or set asides, <br />but rather were goal, objective and inclusiveness oriented. <br />Article 2. Diversity Action in Employment [deleting "Affirmative" and inserting "Diversity"] <br />Sec. 14.5-3 Application of this Article <br />Sec. 14.5-4 Diversity Action Procedures [deleting "Affirmative" and inserting "Diversity"J <br />~ Would include provisions on: <br />• Recruitment <br />• Hiring <br />• Personnel Policies and Practices <br />• Duties of Department Heads <br />• Noncompliance Procedures <br />Council Member Rouse then opened the floor to Council Members for any preliminary questions which <br />they may have. <br />Council Member Puzzello inquired about the definition of "Hispanic" on page 4. <br />Glenda Rae Hernandez suggested that the Committee consider using "Latino" instead. <br />
