Motion was made by Mr.Reeder and <br />seconded by Mr.wicely ratifying the following changes in the <br />Police Department; Patrolman Winthers exchanged places with <br />Detective Diver. The work of <br />a police officer should make an appeal to a larger number of men <br />and..to a higher caliber of men than often _make application for <br />pollee positions. There is no calling that can render more sub - <br />stantial service to a community. We mane this appeal knowing there <br />are many reliable and strong men in South Bend who can develop <br />into high grade officers, and who will like_ the work when they Q <br />get into it.
