REGULAR MEETING JUNE 11, 2007 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in the Council Chambers of the County-City Building on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Rouse and the Invocation and Pledge to the Flag were given. White Deceased: Roland Kelly 1st District 2nd District 4th District Vice-President 6th District 5th District At-Large President At-Large At-Large Chairperson Committee of the Whole 3rd District OTHERS PRESENT: John Voorde City Clerk Janice L Talboom Deputy City Clerk Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand Council Attorney Absent Mary Beth Wisniewski Chief Deputy REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: The sub-committee has inspected the minutes of the May 29, 2007 meeting of the Council and found them to be correct. Therefore, we recommend the same be approved. s/Timothy A. Rouse s/David Varner Councilmember Kuspa made a motion that the minutes of the May 29, 2007 meeting of the Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Pfeifer seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of six (6) ayes. SPECIAL BUSINESS Councilmember Pfeifer advised that there will be an Orientation/Reception onMonday, June 25, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room, 4a` Floor County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, Indiana to welcome three (3) interns that will be working for the Council and working on their MSW internships from Indiana University, South Bend, they will be here for full academic year beginning in August 2007.
