Qualls, presented weekly report for the'week ending Aug. 13th. <br />-!,TE I GHTS & MEASURE DE PAR T M N� T : - <br />No report was received from 14r. Hawthorne, on account of his absence <br />from the citT. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: - <br />REQUISITIONS PRESENTED & APPROVED. <br />Numbers 2236 to 2247 inclusive were approved. <br />Motion prevailed that the bond of officer D. A. Martin, for one <br />thousand ($1,0)0.00) the National Surety Co., as surety was approved.. <br />Motion prevailed, that officer Harold A. Whitmer, is to attend the <br />eleventh annual convention of International Ass'n. of Indentifieation. <br />which is to be held Aug. 26th, to 29th. at 117indsor, Can. and the expenses <br />of.the trip are to be paid out of the Convention Fund of the City. <br />Serg'ts. Roberts, Hanson, Steinburg, C. Luzny, and offieer.,Rm. Vernon. <br />appeared before the Board as a committee from the Vernon Lodge No. 36. <br />of the Fraternal Order pf Police. asking permission to hold a Police Field <br />day at Playland Park August 29th. and the officer were authoritized to sell <br />tickets f-or the event, s for the, benifit of the lodge, all of which was <br />approved by the Board. <br />Motion prevailed that all the Groceries and 14arkets waat the entire <br />city would be granted permission to display food stuffs out side of their <br />stores on the condition that they would be contained in bushel baskets <br />in a single row -elevated. from the side walks on bench or taipods. <br />1 pre '1 d o adjourn:- <br />r A EST <br />CLERK OF BOARD PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD. <br />Friday August 21, 1925 Office of the Board of Public <Safety, <br />meeting called to order at 5 P. r4. Hawthorne, presented weekly report for the week- ending <br />August 14th. and 21st. 1925. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT : - <br />_ Motion prevailed that the resigination of Officer. Jospeh E. Brown, <br />be.accepted same taking effect. August 21, 1926.- <br />Alderman Erler and Hull appeared before the board and new traffic <br />regulations and automatic signals were dissussed and a number of <br />suggested were received. and notation made there off and placa -& on file. <br />suggestion were as follows: - <br />All automatic signals to be the overhead type. 4nd syncnorized. <br />No right or left hand turns to be allowed on Mich Str.' <br />Thirty minute parking limit on Michigan Str. - <br />No parking twenty feet from corners at all.intersections. <br />Not more than two lines of traffic to cross Ry. crossing at one time <br />and a white line to be placed on the payeman.ts approaching crossings. <br />Farrell parking on P,Tichi ,an and Main Sirs.
