The Common Council wishes Tom "Zibby" Zbikowski and the <br />Tommy Z9 Foundation continued success in bringing awareness to many fine <br />organizations dedicated to helping others threatened with disease; for his sincere <br />dedication; for his keen sensitivity and assistance in finding cures to life-threatening <br />diseases; and for the Zbikowski Family-Zibby's Mom, Dad, sister and brother who are <br />instilling the "right stuff' in this fine young man, who is truly making a difference right <br />here in South Bend and throughout America. Dieter, 4903 Starboard Drive, South Bend, Indiana, made the <br />presentation for this Resolution by first offering his comments and then reading the <br />Resolution in its entirety and presenting it to Tom Zbikowski. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />There was no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this Resolution. <br />Mr. Zbikowski thanked the Council for this honor. He also thanked his family for their <br />constant support and this event would not have been possible without them. <br />Councilmember Kuspa made a motion to adopt this Resolution by acclamation. <br />Councilmember White seconded the motion which carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3744-07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />PUBLICLY COMMENDING KATHLEEN C. <br />MILLER OF THE WARREN PRIMARY CENTER <br />FOR BEING SELECTED AS THE 2007 <br />TEACHER OF THE YEAR BY THE SOUTH <br />BEND COMM[.JNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, recognizes <br />that there are over 60,000 persons teaching in the 294 public school corporations and <br />state-accredited non-public schools throughout the State of Indiana, and <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council acknowledges that recently the South Bend <br />Community School Corporation honored several local teachers who serve in our primary <br />centers, intermediate centers and high schools for their special teaching skills and <br />dedication to education excellence; and <br />
