REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 23, 2007 <br />This bill had first reading. Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer this bill to <br />the Personnel and Finance Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on <br />May 14, 2007. Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice <br />vote of eight (8) ayes. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. <br />REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION: <br />It is noted that the Council is in receipt of a recommendation from the Area Plan <br />Commission of St. Joseph County, for the following ordinance based on their Public <br />Hearing held on April 17, 2007: <br />BILL NO. 15-07 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ANNEXING <br />TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND AMENDING THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN <br />CLAY TOWNSHIP, CONTIGUOUS THEREWITH; <br />COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT 4 <br />Councilmember Varner made a motion to refer this bill to the Zoning and Annexation <br />Committee and set it for Public Hearing on May 29, 2007 and Third Reading on June 25, <br />2007. Councilmember Kelly seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight <br />(8) ayes. <br />B. <br />BILL NO. 06-127 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A <br />DECLARATORY RESOLUTION DESIGNATING <br />CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 3702 <br />PROGRESS DRIVE TO BE AN ECONOMIC <br />REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A FIVE <br />(5) YEAR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT <br />FOR PARRI SH/Iv1EYER MACHINE, INC. <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer this bill to the Community and <br />Economic Development Committee and set it for Public Hearing on May 12, 2007. <br />Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) <br />ayes. <br />NFW RTT4TNF44 <br />Council President Rouse advised that the second meeting in May will be rescheduled to <br />Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., due to the observance of Memorial Day. <br />27 <br />
