Dollars each as members of the Board of Public Safety <br />of the City of South 3end, Indiana, by appointment of Eli P. S-nog°or moved that W. 0. Davies act as the <br />President of this Board for the term of four ye--�rs, which was duly <br />seconded by Can I ?yle. Said motion was carried., <br />Dan i'yle moved that Paul a. H.eiermann be a.nnointed as <br />the Clerk of the Board, which xras duly seconded by Clement S. Smogor. <br />Said motion was carried. <br />Ol.ement S. Smogor made a motion that Irving W. Sibrel <br />be duly appointed as mire Chief of the South Bend Tire Department which <br />was duly seconded by .Dan Pyle. Said. motion vvas carried. <br />Dan Pyle ~Wade a motion that Laurence J. Vane be promoted <br />to the position of Chief_ of Police and that Dr. C. .M. Thompson be duly <br />appointed as Police Surgeon, which was duly seconded by Clement S. <br />Smogor. Said motion was carried. <br />Dan Pyle :bade a motion that Paul A. Heiermann, having: <br />been appointed ,,as Clerk of Board, be instructed to furnish a .bond <br />in the sum of 45000 X5000 to the City of South Bend, Indiana, within t? <br />four hours. Said :notion was carried. <br />Clement S. Smogor made a motion that the position of <br />Assistant Chief of Police on the Police Department be declared vacant. <br />Said motion was carried. <br />Carried.
