REGULAR MEETING JUNE 22, 1981 APPROVE OSTEOPATHIC HOSPITAL FITNESS RUN - AUGUST 29, 1981 Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, submitted a favorable recommendation for the South Bend Osteopathic Hospital and Bethel College Fitness Day Run to be held on Saturday, August 29, 1981, starting at 9:00 a.m., subject to the following change in the route previously submitted: North on Logan from Bethel College to .Dunn /Hepler; west on Dunn /Hepler to Crestwood; south on Crestwood to Edison, west on Edison to Ironwood; south on Ironwood to Jefferson; east on Jefferson to Logan; north on Logan to Bethel College. It was noted that Logan Street would be closed for the start of the race from Jefferson to McKinley and the major intersection of McKinley and Logan /Hickory would be controlled by the police traffic officers at the start of the race, with the other intersection handled by Civil Defense and volunteer groups. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS A request from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was received for permission to have city environmental crews clean the following lots within the city 1105 Beale 5282 N. Blaine 1206 Fremont 2115 S. High Lot N. 1128 N. Hill 235 E Indiana 3805 W. Jefferson 2101 S. Kendall 618 -622 Lincolnway East 1427 N. O'Brien Lot E. of 1929 Prairie lst lot W. 2005 Prairie 221 S. Taylor 1618 S. Twyckenham 1222 S. 31st 1809 Vassar 754 Warren 2020 S. Williams Lot S. of 2214 S. Chapin 2420 W. Ewing Lot W. of 1219 Kinyon 1101 S. Lafayette Lot S. of 1902 Leer 2223 S. Miami 100 blk. of W. Marion 2318 S. Miami Lot E. of 607 Angela It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and had failed to comply. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the handicapped application of Mary Alferio, 1934 Bridgeview Trail, Apartment A, South Bend, Indiana 46627, was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. APPROVE AND RELEASE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Contractor's Bond of James D. Szczechowski, 1933 Berkley Place was approved following a favorable review by Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak of the Engineering Department. Upon ,a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following bonds were released as recommended by Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak: C.E. Stafford - Contractor's Bond Americana Realty Corp. - Contractor's Bond Americana Realty Corp. - Excavation Bond
