REGULAR MEETING JUNE 22, 1981 <br />APPROVE OSTEOPATHIC HOSPITAL FITNESS RUN - AUGUST 29, 1981 <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, submitted a favorable recommendation for the South Bend <br />Osteopathic Hospital and Bethel College Fitness Day Run to be <br />held on Saturday, August 29, 1981, starting at 9:00 a.m., subject <br />to the following change in the route previously submitted: <br />North on Logan from Bethel College to <br />.Dunn /Hepler; west on Dunn /Hepler to <br />Crestwood; south on Crestwood to Edison, <br />west on Edison to Ironwood; south on <br />Ironwood to Jefferson; east on Jefferson <br />to Logan; north on Logan to Bethel College. <br />It was noted that Logan Street would be closed for the start of <br />the race from Jefferson to McKinley and the major intersection of <br />McKinley and Logan /Hickory would be controlled by the police traffic <br />officers at the start of the race, with the other intersection <br />handled by Civil Defense and volunteer groups. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation <br />was approved. <br />APPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS <br />A request from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was received <br />for permission to have city environmental crews clean the following <br />lots within the city <br />1105 Beale <br />5282 N. Miami <br />Lot E. of 607 Angela <br />It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the <br />lots and had failed to comply. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the handicapped application of Mary Alferio, 1934 Bridgeview <br />Trail, Apartment A, South Bend, Indiana 46627, was approved and <br />referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. <br />APPROVE AND RELEASE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the Contractor's Bond of James D. Szczechowski, 1933 <br />Berkley Place was approved following a favorable review by Mr. Ray <br />S. Andrysiak of the Engineering Department. <br />Upon ,a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following bonds were released as recommended by Mr. Ray <br />S.
