REGULAR MEETING APRIL 20, 1981 The regular meeting of the Board of,Public Works was convened at 9:35 a.m., on Monday, April 20, 1981, by President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski and Mr. Richard L. Hill present. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of April 13, 1981, were approved as submitted. AGENDA ITEM ADDED Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, approval of the Annual Garage Sale and a request to sell a damaged police car were added to the agenda following the revenue sharing hearing. OPENING OF BIDS-- HAWBAKER SANITARY SEWER PROJECT This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for the sanitary sewer work on Hawbaker Street which was authorized by Improvement Resolution No. 3501, 1980, adopted on November 3, 1980, under the Barrett Law Program. The Clerk tendered proofs of publica- tion of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Pyramid Mechanical Contractors Bid was signed by Ray G. Francekovic, 60151 Grass Road non- collusion affidavit was in order South Bend, Indiana and a 5% bid bond was submitted. AMMOMMIKI Dye Plumbing & Heating 3535 Monroe Street LaPorte, Indiana $44,026.40 LaFree Excavating 11252 West Third Street Osceola, Indiana $32,116.76 Arco Engineering Corp. 705 S. Beiger Street Mishawaka, Indiana Bid was signed by Charles T. Dye, non - collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond was submitted. Bid was signed by Richard LaFree, non - collusion affidavit was in order and a 5% bid bond was submitted.
