1 -4 r -:4 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 6. 1980 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 1980, by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. Joseph <br />E. Kernan present. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also <br />present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the minutes of the regular meeting of September 29, 1980, were <br />approved as submitted. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill, the following <br />items were added to the agenda: <br />Status report on Prenco (soluable oil disposal facility), <br />Lits of lots within the city which require environmental <br />clean up, and <br />Filing of assessment roll and plans for Fellows Street <br />curbs sander Barrett Law. <br />STATUS OF PRENCO OIL FACILITY <br />Mr. Crone advised that he and Mr. David Wells of the Engineering <br />Department inspected the oil disposal facility on Riverside Drive <br />and, upon that inspection, found that some liquid materials have <br />been left in two of the storage tanks on the property. He stated <br />that the tanks did not appear to be full, and Mr. Wells was not <br />certain as to the materials in the tanks but felt they posed no <br />serious problems. Upon a motion made.by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Kernan and carried, the Legal Department was directed to <br />issue a 10 to 20 day notice (or whatever is felt would be appropriate) <br />to Prenco to remove the liquid materials and, if no action is taken, <br />the Wastewater Department would be directed to take the necessary <br />steps to dispose of the material with the Legal Department to <br />pursue reimbursement from Prenco for same. <br />APPROVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS <br />A request from the Environmental /Action Center was received for <br />permission to have city environmental crews clean the following <br />lots within the city: <br />ADDRESS <br />C'nNDTTTnN <br />3300 <br />S.
