REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 7, 1980 <br />FILING OF PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY (NORTH OF EWING EAST FROM WEBSTER) <br />A petition was submitted by Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Nowak and other <br />residents in the area for the vacation of the first east -west alley <br />north of Ewing Avenue running East from Webster Street in Rum <br />Village Addition. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the petition was referred to the Engineering <br />Department, the Area Plan Commission and the Department of Community <br />Development for review and recommendation. <br />FILING OF PETITION TO VACATE ALLEYS (ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL) <br />A petition was submitted by St. Joseph's Hospital for the vacation <br />of the alleys running east and west and the portion of the alley <br />running north and south, both of which are bounded by St. Peter, <br />Madison Street, Notre Dame Avenue and LaSalle Street. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />petition was referred to the Engineering Department, the Area Plan <br />Commission and the Department of Community Development for review <br />and recommendation. <br />FILING OF REPORTS AND ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3491, 1980 <br />(ALLEYS IN BLOCK BOUNDED BY OLIVE','CALVERT, PHILLIPA AND DELAWARE) <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3491, 1980 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />All of the alleys in a block bounded by <br />Olive, Calvert, Phillipa and Delaware <br />Streets in Highland Park 2nd Addition <br />to the City of South Bend. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain <br />any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control <br />structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless <br />such rights are released by the individual Utilities. <br />The following properties may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by such vacation: <br />Lots 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, 241, <br />242, 243, 244, 245 & 246, Highland Park <br />2nd Addition. <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 11th & <br />18th day of July, 1980, in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri- <br />County News. <br />This Board, at its office, on the 28th day of July, 1980, at <br />9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all <br />persons interested in or affected by these proceedings <br />Adopted this 7th day of July, 1980. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Joseph E.
